Larry Skiles, Land Specialist

Larry Skiles is a sales agent for The Loranda Group and focuses on properties in Indiana. Prior to joining The Loranda Group, Larry established a successful crop-livestock enterprise that he continues to help manage.

Larry was raised on a farm in central Indiana. It was here where he developed an interest in agriculture and an appreciation for farmland as a natural resource. His ability to analyze farmland from both a productivity standpoint and as an investment appeals to farmers and investors.

Larry brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to buyers and sellers of agricultural real estate. As a farmer, Larry has had the opportunity to study and understand the factors that affect land values the most, including soil types, fertility, drainage, and location. This knowledge can give sellers confidence that their property is being sold for true market value. He also knows that selling land can be an emotional decision for some individuals and is willing to provide the extra time and service necessary to make the sales process an enjoyable experience.

For farmland buyers, Larry understands that acquiring land is a large financial commitment. Thus, he provides the type of property and sales information that a purchaser would need to make an informed decision. He also keeps current with various financing alternatives to ensure that the prospective buyer knows all his options.

Larry has been very active in FFA (Future Farmers of America), serving as Chapter President, District President, and on the State Executive Committee. He is involved in area and church activities and believes in giving back to the community.

Larry joined The Loranda Group in the winter of 2004 as a licensed Indiana real estate agent and auction representative. His knowledge of Central Indiana makes him a valuable asset to those wanting to buy or sell land throughout the area.
