Nicholas Root is an agricultural land specialist in the
Lafayette, Indiana office of The Loranda Group. Nick's previous experience included managing both farm and residential real estate assets and auctioning both real and personal property. He travels throughout
Indiana helping to solve the problems that farmland owners and operators encounter with their agricultural real estate assets.
Nick was raised in the prime farming area of central Indiana. It was here where he developed an interest in agriculture and an understanding of the importance of land to the farming community. He graduated from the prestigious Reppert School of Auctioneering and is active in the Indiana Auctioneers Association. The experience Nick has gained in production agriculture, real estate sales and management, and as an auctioneer makes him especially adept at analyzing the challenges that both buyers and sellers face in today’s marketplace.
For farmland sellers, Nick knows the advantages and disadvantages that the various methods of sale can offer. After thoroughly analyzing the physical features of a property, the financial strength of the local marketplace, and the goals and objectives of the owner, he makes marketing recommendations that maximizes the net dollars for the sale. Farmland buyers appreciate the property due diligence and information Nick provides, and his communication skills create an atmosphere of trust for all parties involved in the transaction.
Nick is married and, in addition to his professional activities, is active in Toastmasters and his local church.
